S.I.M.I - The Overview

Introduction

‘SIMI’ is an acronym which stands for “Smart Intelligent Mobile Interface”. This is an application program categorized as a launcher which will be controlled with user’s voice and it will provide personal assistance to user .Simi will work on android Platform. SIMI will work on just the Voice Commands. SIMI will have functionalities to do all the tasks such as Make a call or answering an Incoming call, texting a person from the contacts, Reading messages from inbox. searching something on Internet, opening a website, etc. With evolutions of stages, SIMI will have more new feature to provide a smarter user experience to User.

IMPLEMENTATION

Simi will be working on android API level 15 and above. Below are few Commands along with Screenshots of Simi.

 Below are some basic day to day functionalities

· Open Command: Open command works with voice trigger “Open” followed by the app name.

e.g: <open><Whatsapp>

 · Search Command:Search command works with voice trigger “Search” followed by the word phrase.

<search><word-phrase>

e.g: <search><mit>

 ·  Call Command: Call command works with voice trigger “Call” followed by the name stored in the contacts/phonebook of the android device.

<call><contact-name>

e.g: <call><John>

 Few other  basic commands includes

1. Setting Alarm
2. Messaging user(You don't have to type message just speak).
3. Turn On/Off Bluetooth,Wifi,Internet-Data,Torch.
4. Updating Fb-status,tweet.
5. Searching meaning of words.
6. Requesting weather update.
7. Tell you accurate time,day.

CONCLUSION

Here with this I conclude my project as a primary step or a sincere trial towards enhancing the scope of the usage of Voice Command technology in public domain; providing some tools and technology which to come in handy for the Users. Keeping in mind the available resources and scope of this technology, its boundaries can result in significant and progressive outcome in future. And may take the usage of android Phones to the next level of Android usability.

The System can be enhanced in many way without limitations. Every new technology can be added to it to achieve a new functionality and thus many modules can be added which will only increase its usability.

The Microsoft Effect

 

 

I am 90’s kid and the first O.S I used in my life was “Windows-98” back then it was too Fascinating .It was Window’s Simplicity and productiveness that fascinated me. Back then Paint and later Microsoft Office was always a helping hand in my Studies, Projects and seminars throughout school. It was Windows Xp that brought all the new lush to MS-impact on small techie mind of mine. Downloading updates from Microsoft was sort of accomplishments back then I still remember that XP-SP3 download, I was happy all the day. Later in my high school windows7 took over and so did Microsoft in my life. Now the use of Microsoft was not limited to MS-OFFICE to this addition Windows 8 was game changer. Internet Explorer, MS-OUTLOOK,BING became handy in day to day life which went on increasing year by year now SKYPE,XBOX,SKY Drive and most imp windows Phone are helping me to develop socially and academically. Being a developer of Windows Phone 8 apps I can proudly say Microsoft offers wide range of help right from MVA to Microsoft Visual Studio whether it is web development, windows software or in the latest MVS 2013 windows 8.1 app development it’s always fun to work with it.

 

 

 

 

 

MSA-To bring Change

 

Being a student of IT major, MSA will prove to be a ladder in today’s fast and changing world. I would be obliged if I get selected in MSA program by Microsoft.

 

• My first duty being an MSA is to work as an interface between the students of my college and Social group and Microsoft.
•  Not only will I arrange boot camps, Seminars and Events related to Microsoft but also spread awareness about the latest technology of Microsoft. 
• Students around me are keen to learn app development and new technologies and being an MSA it will be quite easy to share my knowledge with them. 
• To solve their queries on any technical and non-technical stuff related to my duties being an MSA will be my first priority.
• Apart from Campus, I will actively participate in various Events, Seminars and boot camps organized by Microsoft and also encourage students around me to join the Events.

 

How to import your contacts in ".csv" file to Bluestacks or Whatsapp-PC

Recently I came across this problem when one of my friend had this problem of importing contacts into his recently downloaded "Whatsapp"  into "Bluestacks". So, My this post will be to show how to import your contacts from computer to "Bluestacks".

Steps for importing contacts-:

1. Open your Gmail account.
2. Go to Contacts in upper left.
3. Click on import contacts.
4. Select .csv files containing your contacts and click on import.
5. Once the file has been  uploaded all your desired contacts will be in your Gmail.
6. Now open Bluestacks from your computer and go in settings.
7. Now Add your Gmail account.
8. Activate "Sync of Contacts" from your account in Bluestacks.

How can i develop a windows8 app ?

Windows 8 came with a lushness of new technological age which is much more simple and attractive than the previous one. While some critics say that it has a long way to go to stand aside with its competitors .Developers find it totally opposite as they say Windows 8 is what we call an opportunity for future. We will not only have a chance to develop new apps but we can also create old apps of different operating systems in our own customized manner with a bigger platform of Windows. With opportunities comes interest and as interest develops the curiosity of developing an app too. You can't express your excitement in words when your own app is ready to be published on the app store. It's like a dream coming true. Like a funambulist but before all that to happen you have to start it up.

First hurdle for being a APP Developer

Finally ...As per I previously said my app about the development of my app. Now my college app is ready to be published on Windows APP Store but as they say "It’s never too easy" a criteria named verification has sent me again on back foot. After thorough Coding and Designing sessions of my app when I was ready to publish it. They told me I need to get a developer license. Even I was prepared for it but they have a rule to pay it from your "CREDIT CARD”. So that they can verify your identity through it. Though I own 2 debit cards but I have no credit card and here in India it’s not an easy & fast procedure to get a credit card for a student. I have goggled it and found that “CITI BANK” and “AXIS Bank” are providing students credit cards on a fixed deposit. So I have planned to visit both the branch offices of respective banks till Saturday. Let's see what’s coming ahead.

The Premier of My Excursion

May be blogging is one of sundry weird idea that keeps on coming in my cognizance every single day but like me there are thousands of you, who think the same don't you ? though I don't know how much longer will I be able to take this excursion nor am I certain about my writing knacks but since I felt like doing this I’m doing and so am I but well there are various me like a simple me, dynamic me, lazy me, moody me, directioner me, Extrovert me and as I do think a lil arrogant me too. But here I am on an adventurous expedition of life. No it's not that adventures as it seems when we hear the word adventure as but yes it is in my own way but yeah it’s the one which many of you will resemble with your own.
