S.I.M.I - The Overview

Introduction

‘SIMI’ is an acronym which stands for “Smart Intelligent Mobile Interface”. This is an application program categorized as a launcher which will be controlled with user’s voice and it will provide personal assistance to user .Simi will work on android Platform. SIMI will work on just the Voice Commands. SIMI will have functionalities to do all the tasks such as Make a call or answering an Incoming call, texting a person from the contacts, Reading messages from inbox. searching something on Internet, opening a website, etc. With evolutions of stages, SIMI will have more new feature to provide a smarter user experience to User.

IMPLEMENTATION

Simi will be working on android API level 15 and above. Below are few Commands along with Screenshots of Simi.

 Below are some basic day to day functionalities

· Open Command: Open command works with voice trigger “Open” followed by the app name.

<open><appName>

e.g: <open><Whatsapp>

 · Search Command:Search command works with voice trigger “Search” followed by the word phrase.

<search><word-phrase>

e.g: <search><mit>

 ·  Call Command: Call command works with voice trigger “Call” followed by the name stored in the contacts/phonebook of the android device.

<call><contact-name>

e.g: <call><John>

 Few other  basic commands includes

1. Setting Alarm
2. Messaging user(You don't have to type message just speak).
3. Turn On/Off Bluetooth,Wifi,Internet-Data,Torch.
4. Updating Fb-status,tweet.
5. Searching meaning of words.
6. Requesting weather update.
7. Tell you accurate time,day.

CONCLUSION

Here with this I conclude my project as a primary step or a sincere trial towards enhancing the scope of the usage of Voice Command technology in public domain; providing some tools and technology which to come in handy for the Users. Keeping in mind the available resources and scope of this technology, its boundaries can result in significant and progressive outcome in future. And may take the usage of android Phones to the next level of Android usability.

The System can be enhanced in many way without limitations. Every new technology can be added to it to achieve a new functionality and thus many modules can be added which will only increase its usability.
